Mark and Rosalind Shenkman donated the funds for this building to further the Jewish student community on campus and to provide a safe and comfortable place for every Jewish student on campus. The Shenkman Jewish Center was completed in late Fall 2018.

 

The facility has a kosher kitchen, a large projector with cable television and streaming capabilities, large gathering space, study nooks, meeting rooms, student lounge, PS4, Nintendo, printing, Sonos, coffee bar, outdoor lounge area and succah, offices, and more. The goal of the SJC is to be the “home away from home” for all Jewish students.
